How many will fit in a container?

Enter one carton's size and weight. We work out the best orientation and show how many fit in each container, and whether volume or weight is the limit.

One carton

Example values: a flat-packed chair carton. Enter your own carton's outside dimensions.

Fits per container

Theoretical maximum with typical container sizes. Real loads are lower once pallets, packing and loading gaps are allowed for. US road weight limits can also cap a heavy container. We plan the exact load for your order.

FAQ

Questions about this tool

How many chairs fit in a 40ft container?

It depends on the chair and how it's packed. Flat-packed or stackable chairs fit many times more than assembled ones. Enter your carton size above, or send us the product and we'll plan the exact load.

Is a 40' high cube better than a 40' standard?

For light, bulky goods like furniture, usually yes: it's about 30 cm taller for a similar freight cost. For heavy goods the weight limit is reached first, so the extra height doesn't help.

Why is the real load lower than the calculator shows?

Pallets, carton bulge, loading gaps and road weight limits all reduce it. The calculator shows the theoretical maximum.
