What is DUPRO (During production inspection)?
An inspection carried out while an order is in production, to catch defects and deviations from the sample while there is still time to correct them.
A DUPRO takes place once part of the order is finished, early enough that the rest of the run can still be corrected. Inspectors check finished and semi-finished units against the golden sample, review the production line and judge whether the factory will meet the shipping date.
It is most useful for large orders, long production runs and new suppliers. A defect pattern found at a DUPRO, such as a weak weld or color drift, can be fixed in the remaining production instead of reworking everything after the pre-shipment inspection.
Beato's own inspectors follow production, and clients receive photos, video, a live video call and a written report.
