What is Consolidation?
Combining goods from several suppliers or orders into one container at a warehouse in China, so they travel together as a single load.
Buyers often need products from several factories: furniture from one, lighting from another, fittings from a third. Instead of sending each as separate LCL, the goods are delivered to a warehouse in China, checked and loaded together into one container, ideally as FCL. Forwarders that group many shippers' LCL cargo into shared containers are also called consolidators.
Consolidation lowers freight cost per unit, reduces handling and means one customs entry and one delivery at the US end. It is also a final chance to count and inspect everything before it leaves China.
Beato offers China warehousing and consolidation. For split manufacturing, parts made by different factories can be assembled in Beato's own warehouse before shipping.
